Full Description
The Traffic Safety and Specialized Enforcement Section, Impaired Drivers Support Unit will conduct an eight (8) hour Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) refresher training course for those members who are trained in SFST. The class will be held at 2850 New York Avenue, NE, in the roll call room, from 1500 hours to 2330 hours. This is a refresher course. There are 24 slots available for officers or officials who are already certified in conducting SFSTs. There will be three slots per district and three slots for specialized units. Members are required to request this course through their District Training Coordinator.

Reporting Instructions
Selected members must be free of all court commitments. Members responding to this training must be in full-duty status and report to training in the uniform of the day. Members who elect to apply for this training are notified that, if selected, they may be required to change their tour of duty and/or their days off consistent with the operational needs of the training. Any such change will not result in penalty pay under Article 24 of the labor agreement.

The District Training Coordinator will forward the member's full name, element, and contact number to tsses.adminbox@dc.gov no later than 0800hrs on Friday March 14th, 2025. All participants must be register within ACADIS through their respective training coordinators.
