Full Description
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) will conduct a forty (40) hour EC IR Breath Alcohol Test Operator Course for members who are not currently certified.  Members attending this course must be trained in Standard Field Sobriety Testing (SFST), must be in a full-duty status and report in the uniform of the day.

There are 14 slots available for this training.  Each Patrol District shall register (1) member for this training and there are two (2) additional slots for Specialized Units.  

Training Coordinators shall ensure that members selected to attend this course are registered in the Learning Management System.  Only members approved by their Commanding Officers and directed by their training coordinator will be authorized to register for this class.  Members are reminded that if this training conflicts with their normal tour of duty, they are voluntarily changing their tour of duty to attend this training.  Members must be free of any court commitments in order to successfully complete this training.
